How much spending money for a week in Majorca?

    If you've been shocked/surprised at the comments so far (which I think are more or less correct), then think about eating a lot more - groceries and usual supplies are a lot cheaper than eating out. also, all restaurants in Spain (islands included) are required by law to have a set menu at lunchtime at an "reasonable" price - usually around 7-12 Euros. This gets you a starter, main course, bread, drink and a desert (maybe only an apple or a yoghurt) but it's great value. Almost all of the restaurants get around this by automatically handing you the menu when you sit down (assuming that you don't know about the menu), so ALWAYS ASK. If you don't like the sound of the set menu, by all means go for the normal menu, but 9 times out of ten it's the same stuff and at a fraction of the price.

Take it in euros. Anyone saying x amount in sterling, well seeing how sterling has fallen recently, best to wait and see how sterling will be some months from now. So a week there, some eating and drinking at your villa, some nights out I'd say 600 euros should more than cover it.
