Which city should I study in Barcelona or Madrid?

Where is better? Madrid or Barcelona? STUDY ABROAD :)?

  I can't really tell where is better (you probably meant this for actual Spanish people--if so, my bad! haha :)) but I can tell you something I have learned from my Spanish friends. I have a friend in Madrid and his mom told me that if I go to Barcelona, I should learn some Catalan just in case. So if you go, you should learn some Catalan. The language spoken there is still Castilian, though. I also hear Barcelona is more "touristy" compared to Madrid so perhaps, they are more used to foreign people and maybe more patient if you don't say the right thing. Also, if you're a summer person (like me! haha) Barcelona has beaches!
