Were is the best place to stay in spain? Costa Del Sol or Majorca?

  • We are thinking of taking a last min holiday but cant decide which of the above is best to visit. We want a holiday with a beach to relax but with enough to do to keep us entertained ...show more

    I've never been to Costa Del Sol, but Majorca was amazing!! Very beautiful, and fairly inexpensive. There is plenty to do, and everything is literally right on the beach. It's incredible. There are lines of restaurants, shops, bars, and clubs right on the sand. Also, random little fact, people that live there are either Spanish, obviously, or German. So they have really good German food, and even a few German clubs as well. One of the biggest clubs I saw was German - played German pop music and everything. It was different, but very fun. Also, the restaurants are fantastic because you eat outside on the patio, overlooking the gorgeous sunset on the beach!

i find there quite similar when it comes to holiday hot spots but the costa del sol is cheaper to eat out i.e about €9 for a 3 course meal where as majorca is about €15 and (as a comparison) menorca is about €24 for a 3 course meal. they do say that the more beautiful the place the dearer it is the eat there. if i had to pick i'd go to majorca ever time its cheaper than menorca but prettier than costa del sol.

cant beat previous answer but i would go to majorca all the time. in fact i do. soller is very nice with a port and town linked by a heritage tram and theirs plenty of restaurants and bars there
