Should i go to gran canaria or majorca on a holiday with my friends (girly holiday)?

my friends and i want to go on a girly holiday at the end of our Alevels before uni and we can't decide where to go,, gran canaria or majorca? please help

We went to Majorca (Alcudia) and thought it was rather run down and the place to have visited 10 years ago........ Gran Canaria was lovely, much classier. Playa del Ingles or Puerto Rico are the main resorts. We went to Puerto Rico and had a fab time. As well as the beach there was a waterpark and plenty of bars/nightlife.

Majorca. It has better shops in Palma which also has some great cocktail bars such as Abaco ( http://www.abacopalma.webs-sites.com/ ) The house and the smaller one near La Llotja. Palma also has the yacht harbour and another at nearby Puerto Portals. Majorca / Mallorca is also nearer to the Uk and is a shorter flight.
