  • Answer:

I'm going to throw out a way, but please know that this is for Acer Computers only, Acer Computers come with "Recovery Commander" So, this will only help those with Acer. If you would like to Encrypt A file, or "Password Protect" your file, you need to first make sure that you are Exited out of the file, as it will not Encrypt with the File open or Running. All you need to do is simply do the following: Start - Computer - C:\\Drive - (And from here, you can go to your file) - You can either do it from there, or go into your documents further, by then Clicking: Users - Owner (Or whatever your name is) - Documents, and find the file you are looking for. Anyways, then you: Right-Click on the file - Go to "Acer eDataSecurity Management" - Encrypt File. After you have clicked Encrypt, (If you haven't already) You need to set up your eData Recovery. Just simply follow the steps asked of you, and you will be able to Encrypt your file. I hope this helped, sorry to limit your computer brand to do this.
