How do I get rid of a firewall blocking my Limewire?

Limewire says that I have a firewall blocking me, any help?

    You have a Windows firewall and probably also a firewall installed with your anti virus software. I wouldn't turn off both. Also, if you are using a router, you will need to gant access through the port Limewire uses. See this info http://www.limewire.org/wiki/index.php?title=User_Cant_Connect

we have limewire a couple of months ago and it messed our computer up. We have a new computer and had to get a technician to come out and fix it. He found the limewire and it had installed alot of different things and a virus. so be careful

try givin it a couple hours first, thats happened to me before and with my internet connection as well, i just waited for awhile and it was just fine later
