If I set an image as my Desktop Background, does it create a copy of it somewhere else?

Or does it use the location of the image? If no, why is the image still shown as the desktop background even after deleting the image from my hard drive. It only goes away if I change ...show more

click on your windows button to get into your setup control page, go in your personal preferences to find: desktop layout or background something like that you will find the image there.
