We just got started with Oracle Fusion and got introduced to ADK. I have been in Java for a very long time, have found Struts and Spring much more popular acceptable than ADK. Perhaps its because of its dependency on Oracle stack, which may not fit well in other Java development environment.

According to our research many companies are going to ADF, mainly in USA and UK, Germany is going there also. If you look into the Gartner quadrants Oracle are performing well in the Middleware market, which means that ADF is used out there.

As someone coming from the IBMi (AS/400) world, the Oracle Application Development framework is almost unheard of outside of the Oracle world. Unless your company uses an Oracle DB, you probably won't run across it. That's been my experience anyway.
