    Firstly, you need to build an acting resume that includes community projects you've worked in as well as all the training you've had. If you haven't done either of those things then that's where you'll need to start before you start shopping for an agent. Once you have your resume and headshot (an 8x10 black and white photograph of your head), attach these two peices together, make a list of agents in your area and march yourself down to their offices. If you decide to send your package via mail, be sure to persist in calling every few days to see if they've had a chance to review your headshot and information. A legit agent will NOT charge you a cent for ANYTHING! They may suggest further training and places where you might like to do that, or they may suggest a better photographer for your headshots but none of this should be mandatory and none of it will be done through the agency. Once they find you work they will charge anywhere between 10-20% of your earnings.

Look in the phone book and have a monologue audition ready. Personality also goes a long way. But if they charge you for anything you need to run. It's good to have head shots ready too.

Usually, the amount they get is stated in the contract. I believe its about 10%. There are agencies that they work at, you would probably just have to go there and let them decide if they want to be your agent. A good agent can tell right off if you would be good for acting. If you can't get an agent, don't give up. Just keep working hard. One thing you have to remember is that there is A LOT of competition.

They do cost a lot. but there's a book you can get called 'Contacts'. its filled with agent's numbers, etc.

the phone book?!?!?! lol , yes they cost hell alot of mulah , my cousin kyelie has one, she does plays , u dont do movies untill about 2 years , 1st you do plays and broadway shows
