    you will need to get a permit where ever you will be working at. ask your school counselor if they have the forms or go down to the state building. there is a dept that handles that. when you go on auditions their going to expect you to be work ready, you need a permit first. their not going to pick you and then wait to see when you can work. a florida permit won't be good in CA.

Wait until you get a job that requires you to have one. There's acting jobs that pay nothing or a small stipend and you wouldn't need one for those.

You will need permission from your parents first. Then they will have to go to a state office and get the proper paperwork. I'm not sure if its the DMV but then again that's government. The best thing to do is google search "working permit for a minor". Good luck.
