    You should start acting by learning how to act, in a classes, school, community threater, etc. The weekly: BACKSTAGE WEST is an excellent source for actual casting opportunities. You cannot audition for a movie in the US that is casting union actors anyway, unless it is a Right-To-Work State. You must be a member of the Screen Actors Guild in order to audition for union level speaking parts. Non-union casting is for the background. Principals are cast from SAG membership, or AFTRA.
