Character analysis for Juliet in Romeo and Juliet?

Hi Shell! Great to see an actress really taking the role seriously, Juliet's character is a deep one. The person above me had a great analysis of her character, I really couldn't word it better myself. If you want to add a flare of authenticity to "Juliet" you might want to try reading the lines with a lisp, in a lot of the earliest productions Juliet's lines were read with a slight speech impediment to give a childlike aspect to the character. I'm going to send you in a different direction for a while. First, read up on Tristan and Isolde. This ancient love legend was made an opera by Richard Wagner. At the end of the story, with Tristan dead and Isolde walking to her own death, she sings the aria "Liebstod," or "Love Unto Death" we might say. If that isn't the sexiest music ever written I'll eat my libretto. He does it with tympani! You might find some other aspect of Juliet to ponder even if you're not into opera. I've never thought of it before your question appeared, but I think and hope it will do something for you.Even ten percent is a move forward.
