How Can A ten year old girl in sydney get an acting job?

It's fantastic you're supporting your daughters choice to become an actress but I suggest you take things slow. She may want it all and now but reality is not many child actors go on to great success. She should start off with some formal training either through a drama school or a private teacher, though group work will expose her to more. Then sign with a reputable agency, do your homework. But be realistic about the situation. While for very few the opportunities come knocking on their door.. most actors, paid and unpaid struggle to get good work for years. It just takes time, patience... but most of all, talent.

Ignore summer :) Im from Melbourne hcih is the acting capital in the country and there is so muchwork around... She will get more work when she turns 15 as they can work longer hours (im 15) but just look around for agencys in sydney and go in with her or call up to see if you can get castings/auditions :) It is best to get a good film reel so if she does free work for unis and things and gets copies then that will help her get paid work, really she needs an agency though :) just google and yellow pages will do :) x
