  • Answer:

if its an agency for acting AND modeling, it wint get you very serious acting jobs. Have you had any training in either area? 1. if not i suggest signing up for some theatre classes ,and get a few headshots done. Agents will want to hear you are already working to achieve your goals. 2. Looking older doesnt matter much, you want to project maturity, professionalism, and charisma. maturity is in your characetr not your looks.Dress nicely, and appropriate for your age. Dont try to act or look older, you dont have to cover yourself up, show off what you have! But keep it clean, classy, and professional. Don't wear alot of makeup, wear an appropriate amount Keep you hair clean and neat, it can be down, but not in your face. Remember, your not trying to sell yourself as 18, but as you are now, and haow much potential you have (both looks and talent wise) for the future. 3. Be CONFIDENT but NOT arrogant. Be bubbly, smile, ahve good posture, stay relaxed, and porject your personality. Don't be afraid to smile or laugh, but keep it professional. Always be extremly polite, say good morning, thank you ,and good bye. 4. bring a portfolio of headshots, and past experience references. (in both theatre and acting) 5. Have two monologues prepared, a comedic and dramatic one. Make sure they are age appropraite, (at 14 you an do monologues written for ages all the way up to early 20's). Make sure thay have a clear objective, are actable, have honest language, are in the moment, tell a story (not a narrative), and have different levels to show your range. Each monologue should be about thirty seconds in length, You can find them in plays, monologue books or on thew internet (i don't recomend that, nor that you write your own monologue. Remember acting is about ACTION. Don't be too emo (emotional), if you perform thetactice to overcome the obstacles of your objective with action, the emotion will become believable. If you sing, or if this agency is looking for vocal talents, have about 16 bars of a sing prepared, and bring a cd with accompanyment. However, depending upon the agency the monologues, and song may not be neccessary, or they will give you monologues of their own. 6. Bring an extra set of clothes, comfortable clothes, to move in. 7. Know the backround of the agency you are audtioning for, also study up on cirrent fashion, fashion history, models, modeling, and history/current theatre movies, plays, significant directors, performers, producers, etc (both stage and movies) The best way to impress and be confident is to know what and who your dealing with. Impress by knowing your stuff. 8. Remember, no matter what happens this is experience and exoerience can't hurt you. you are only 14 and have SO MUCH time. I wish you the best of luck. BUT if this is not your passion, don't waste your time. With out the drive the effort is pointless. Theatre, and modeling are more work than you can possibly imagie. And you may think you can handle it it, but most people think that and almost nobody can. work. And i know you know that there willbe disapointments, but trust me you have no comprehension to the utter pain, misery, and defeatedness you may feel. Nor, do you have understanding of tyhe joy it can bring you, if its your passion. You won't truly understand euither of these emotions until you experience them yourself, and to be successful , the experience and understanding of both is absolutly neccessary. sorry its so long, but if nothing else enjoy yourself. please, listen to what i have to say, i have experienced thisall myseklf as have all my peers. i attend a school where this is my life. Goodluck:))

DONT wear makeup...its very irritating to casting directors because makeup sometimes make you look totally different, and they want to know/see the REAL you. be polite, classy, professional, and dont chew gum...thats also irritating. dont lie either, agencies have their ways in finding the truth, so if you get caught, you'll be known as a liar. otherwise, be yourself and the rest will fall into place! :-) Good Luck!

Agents can spot raw talent. You don't need to wear any heavy make up because they can transform you into the person that will fit the role you have to play. You can even be transformed into a witch one day, or a princess the next day. What you should bring with you is tons of confidence.
