Get a Crosman Nightstalker SA. I have it and i love it! 600 bbs, 350fps i think, shoots really fast. accurate if you get good with it too! I think you can buy it on Crosman.com or just go to a local sporting good store and they should have it there. Also, shotguns are really good too. The Double eagle ones that are also on the crosman website are my favorite.

You could buy an air pump gun at 495 fps ( legal for 16 years and older ) that shoots pellets and bebes. You can feel it alright. It can kill birds too. Pump it up to 30 times for a total fps of over 600 which is enough to kill gophers. for $80. You can also pick up a cheap $20 electric pistol and mod it. They got vids on youtube. No clue what the fps is but it shoots far enough. Check Gundepot.com
