Well if you go too a good place they lend u the gear you put a dry suit over your bikini. Is it scary depends how big the rapids are and how compotent the other rafters are. Yes its fun. If you have strong rapids you need to be able to pull your weight. They should go through a pretty long safety check before you even get in the water. They'll give you wet suit boots, phone a head just to check. I did it in Kaituna River, New Zealand down a 7 metre drop, 23 feet all 8 of us stayed in the boat. Enjoy!!!!

I wore a one piece (less areas to pop out of) defiantly no sun-bathing bikini. It is not scary to much of an adrenaline rush to be scary once you get thru your first rapid you will be smiling big. You will just be a bit nervous but that's no prob. It is a blast once you go you will want to do it again and again There is always a possibility that you can fall out but that is why you wear a life jacket. If you do fall out stay on your back and put your feet out straight in front of you better your feet to hit the rocks than your head or back or something. Also wedge your foot under the edge of the raft that will give you better leverage to paddle and hold on with. I prefer tevas or old tennis shoes when I go. I would suggest wearing something on your feet.
