What are the best floating lures for bass, pike, and trout, in southern california?

I grew up in san diego and knwo the lakes well.first off you need to get your drive on to find a pike.If i were fishing Lakes San Vincinte ,morena ,Dvl,jennings etc here what i used or would use.floating lures,a irony shad from zip baits,a Pop-r zell rowland model,a lucky craft sammy in the 78-100 size .if iwere shallow fishing or shore fishing i would use a bubba/carolina rig and a 6" roboworm behind it or your topwater too.as for jerkbaits i would use lucky craft pointers,megabass ito 110's ,and shad colored rapala type baits.oh and bring a frog along there are some areas with good sloop to throw the frogs on top of.If you have alocal lake please repost it and if i know i can help you find out more about it.I nowadays fish Casitas,Cachuma and santa margarita.with mostly the same bait but now i use swimbaits from huddleston,rago and wmission quite regulary. tight lines, Brian tight lines <brian

cranks work well with evrything i mean evrything try a gaint ac plug for bass there usualy a foot long but dont be intimadated by the size if u put it in front of u it dont look so big and a 8 pound bass can easily eat that lure fish rarely see the lure from the size and since ur fishing shallow go parallel to weedlines theres an awsome lake by hantington beach and santana for trout try a mall spinner real it kinda fast and it will not get snagged or a lonng minnow crankbait for pike try a buzzbait #1 lure for topwater fishing that will catch u bass and pike. good luck

Jointed-Rapalas always worked best, for me; though I've never used a floating lure for Trout! The BIG-THING for Bass, out here; is a soft-bait (swim-bait), made by Castaic Lures, that perfectly mimics the stocker-trout, being planted in the local lakes! Stripers & Largemouths to well-over 20lbs. are falling for them!!!
