Good fishing spots in the Houston area?

Fishing spots in the madera, merced and fresno area?

  • i was wondering if anyone here knew of any good fishing spots in the madera, merced and fresno area in california.

  • Answer:

There's Hidden Dam (Hensley Lake) and Eastman Lake both situated near the town of Raymond, bout' 25 miles (give or take a few) North East of Chowchilla. Both have Largemouth bass, Crappie, Blue Gill, Catfish and they plant (stock) Trout (Eastman Lake) in the colder months of the year. For Merced there's not to much except for Lake Yosemite (right on the outskirts of Merced) which has Catfish, Carp, Bass and stock with Trout (again in the colder months). Out of Snelling, (30 miles East of Merced) there's the Merced River (river is barbless hooks only), Lake Mc Swain and Lake McClure both lakes have basically the same species as Eastman and Hidden Dam does. Outta' Fresno there be Shaver Lake, Huntington Lake, Millerton Lake ta' name a few. I've noted a link for ya', it'll be a lot more informative regardin' fishin' and recreation out of Fresno~besides I ain't much of a typist ;( Good luck and "Fish On... http://www.fs.fed.us/r5/sierra/recreation/interestplaces

Saw a photo of a guy bout one half mile from the golden gate bank fishing and catching 100 lb. halibut, thought that was awsome.
