Is 300 fps for an airsoft gun really good?

    FPS isn't everything in airsoft, and FPS doesn't set the price. If you thing FPS is it then that's like saying a JG is better than a TM or CA. If your looking for accuracy then FPS can help, but the hop up and TBB are more important. TM guns at 285FPS usually avg $300+ give or take. Usually plastic body AEGs. Clone companies just jack up their guns and the FPS which wears down the gears and piston quicker. That's why a TM will last a long time, say 3-6years, while a JG, ACM, Echo1, etc may last say 1-3 years as they wear out quicker due to the 400FPS. Btw hunter, if you have nothing to add leave no comment, why don't you run off and hunt a squirrel or a little bird.

The average speed of Airsoft guns is about 300 to 360 fps. Most Airsoft fields limit the velocity to between 300 and 400 fps, depending on the size of the field. CQB courses will be lower, and outside fields will be higher. A good fps depends on what you are doing. I've played airsoft games using springer pistols that shot about 180 fps and everyone still had a great time. Yes it is. Most airsoft fields will only let guns 350 and below. The FPS does not matter as much as the Joule rating. The FPS only relates as to how fast it goes, but the Joule rating refers to how much force it fires the BB with. Yes an airsoft gun that shoots at 300 fps is good for an airsoft. But it really shouldnt be more than $100. I once owned a full metal airsoft gun that shot at 345 and only payed about $110.

yes its good. imagine moving 300 fps yourself. its fast. a little plastic 6mm pellet goin that fast is gonna hurt
