It depends on the size of the panel-board or fuse board. If it is a 200A service a 4/0 copper cable(s) are sufficient. It also depends on the distance from the transformer. If a long distance then voltage drop will occur and you may need to up-size the cable size.If your house is 120/240 as most houses are then you will require two phase conductors and a neutral conductor from the transformer.
