Rome to Tuscany?

I'm going to Rome in September of this year for 4 days but we would like to continue on to visit some other places in Italy like Tuscany...for maybe another week.. can you tell ...show more

Keep in mind that Tuscany is a region, and is quite large. There are many places to visit there. However, from Rome, the easiest would be to look into some of the wonderful towns in southern Tuscany, like Montepulciano, Chiusi, etc. It is extremely easy to get to these places by train, and will take about an hour and a half from Rome.
