No comparison for sure. America has the most nationalistic and patriotic people of any country.

Germans are certainly proud of their own heritage, but they're also content to be a part of the European Union. Switzerland might be a better comparison.

I think they are just as patriotic, only in a more quiet way, for obvious reasons. It used to be a shame to say, 'I am proud to be German', but not anymore.

Much more less than the US. There is a question, that is interesting. I think there is someone in Travel Germany, who gives low ratings because of "beeing German". Beiing bourne here or somewhere else, is just a fact and nothing else. A baby can not choose his parents.
