Whats the process to change the battery on a 1999 gsxr 600?

    The battery is under the seat. There's 2 screws holding the front seat down, remove them, and the seat, take the battery strap off the battery, remove the negative terminal, remove the positive terminal, pull the battery out, insert the new battery fully charged, attach the posuitive terminal, attach the negative terminal, turn the bike's lights on to make sure you have power, if they are good test start the bike, if it runs, shut it off, replace the rubber battery strap, bolt the seat down, GO RIDE! BTW....I used to have that same bike....nice ride!

maddy as i have not ridden in years . i don't know the GSXR 600 bike .. but you should have a latch or 2 bolts that hold the seat on .. You may have to remove the Passenger seat or cowl to get to them .. most likely there allen heads or phillips . then once you get to the battery under the main seat .. remove the positive cable then the ground. be careful not to short out the cables when removing them. that should give you a good idea as most sport bike the battery is under the main seat and the seats remove basically the same way . just be easy as some time there a push clips that may have to be removed .. there basically a clip that the center has to be pulled to remove the push in clip . it a pretty simple job most of the time .. takes about 10 to 20 minutes tops .
