What happens if you don't cure the shirt after printing?

I heard that you have to cure a tshirt after screen printing or any kind of printing.

Answer:
the ink will wash out or be extremely faded. curing is essential. i have had a lot of my designs printed on shirts in the past. designs won't stay in the fabric. you need high heat to cement them into the material.
