Central India. So, I assume that you really wouldn't care about the beaches of Goa. These travel destinations are all located in the South of our country and all are very leisurely places. Day 1 - Bangalore First, get on a Train to Bangalore Central Junction. Take an one-day tour of Bangalore. I know that you guys want to avoid large cities but Bangalore is really worth it. And, you wouldn't be smoked out as the climate is quite pleasant there. Days 2 - 4 - Coorg. Start early. I know you want to take the train but the journey to Coorg from Bangalore is scenic and has loads of places in between. From Bangalore, if you travel for around 2 hours, you will reach Srirangapatna. From there, Mysore is around 20 minutes away. But, Mysore is over-rated and over-crowded. So, please avoid Mysore and take the Hunsur Road (Sh-88) which will lead you to a wonderful place called Kushal Nagar. There is a beautiful Golden Temple and a Monastery at Kushal Nagar which is a treat to our eyes and truly blissful. You can also buy some authentic Tibetan items over here. But, make sure you bargain. From Kushal Nagar, take the Madikeri Road which will lead you to the estates of Coorg. Make sure, you book a cottage(homestay) in advance. Most of these Cottages are actually not hotels but are owned by the estate owners are usually available for rental by the tourists. So, the estate managers would be (usually) warm and kind people rather than some gruesome hoteliers.       Many estates have rivers flowing through them like this Sandalkad Estate The locations that you must cover in Coorg are Talacauvery, Bhagamandala, Raja’s Seat at Madikeri, Madikeri Town and Abbi Falls. It would take you 2 days to cover all these without hurrying up. Days  5 - 6 - Wayanad Just 105 kms away from Coorg is the mystic place of Wayanad, Kerala. Once again, unfortunately, there is no way you can reach this place via Train. If you start around 5 pm from Coorg on Day 4, you will reach Wayanad by 8 pm. Stretch your legs there. Start your Day 5 by visiting the Muthanga Wildlife Reserve which is a beautiful reserve which connects two other Wildlife Sanctuaries from two other States - Mudumalai Sanctuary in Tamilnadu and Bandipur Sanctuary in Karnataka. You might run into an occasional elephant or Tiger at Muthanga.                               Yes, it is always this serene in Wayanad After that go to the neolithic caves of Edakkal. It is truly a fascinating place which has captured the attention of historians over the years. End your day by going back to the hotel. Begin Day 6 by visiting the Sentinel Rock Waterfalls and it will be like no other falls you've ever seen before. Finally, go and just have a good time at the Pookoot Lake which is set in a beautiful valley surrounded by evergreen forests. You would fall in love with Wayanad that you might even end up extending your stay. Days 7- 8 - Ooty Munnar and Alappuzha are too far away from Wayanad. But, if you don't mind a 300 km journey, Munnar is your best bet. But, just 110 kms away from Wayanad is another extremely good but crowded place - Ooty. (But, if you visit Ooty any time between November - February (Off-Season), you'll certainly love the place) There are some international standard restaurants and hotels in Ooty and it is certainly the most developed tourist sport down south. Also, there are wonderful tourist spots plus some excellent home-made chocolates that are too die for. Ooty has a beautiful botanical garden, a great lake and other touristy spots. After visiting all that, you will have to go to Coimbatore via Mettupalayam. So, from Ooty take the Ooty-Mettupalayam MG Passenger which goes through what I think is the most scenic railway line in the country. Day 9 - Coimbatore 2 hours away from Ooty is Coimbatore. Do try and visit the Dhayalinga Yogic Temple which is 19kms away from Coimbatore town. Coimbatore is well connected with other parts of our country through a large railway station and an airport. So, you can go back to your place from here. This is your overall Tour map. Hope the answer was helpful.
