I have to spend a couple of days in France apart from Paris. Is Annecy a good choice?

I think it takes 4 hours by TGV from Paris to Annecy. Is it worth it? Or do you suggest any other place. I am not too interested in castles. Rather I would prefer scenic beauty like ...show more

Yes I agree with Arun.........the Alps are gorgeous (go and visit Chamonix too if you can). Abdoucstg is leading you towards the sea and the west coast lol ! Hey am joking Abdouc :-)

If you love the Alps then Annecy is the best choice. It has esy access to a whole lot of montain resorts and Geneva at a stones throw disatance (1 hr ) by train. Yes go for it!!!
