  Any hotel you book before you get to Paris will be more expensive then it would be if you wait until you are there to do your search. All five main railway stations, and, presumably the Airports, have Tourist Information counters where the Staff will book a hotel for you in the price range you want. It's the same in Rome - one time I booked a hotel from here in Sydney before flying out and it cost $100.00 per night (in 1992). After my three day booking was over, I was going to find another hotel, but the Manager gave me a bigger room, but without shower in it (there was one straight across the hall), for $45.00 a night. Much better.
