Have a look at http://paris.c-lafrance.com/Restauration/Cuisine_francaise/ But if you can spare one day, it is worth spending one day out of Paris where you may have better food at cheaper price with a good view ! More at http://ile-de-france.c-lafrance.com/Restauration/

I'd say just pick your restaurant after you arrive. Maybe ask at your hotel for good local choices. Parisian restraunteurs have the pickiest audience in the world, the french, so most are good but of course some are better than others.

Where do I start, Paris is amazing for food, there is a place on Champs Elysees that I went to quite a few times, it's not the cheapest place, but you can get a good deal with either a starter and main or main and desert for about 30 euros. It's called Renault Atelier. It's quite and interesting place, the restaurant is upstairs and below is Renault car showroom, which is actually quite a lot of fun. The food is amazing, very french and delicious!

There is a fantastic restaurant called "Le Petit Pontoise" on Rue De Pontoise, near the Boulevard St-Germaine. It's an ordinary restaraunt, serving excellent food, with a great variety to choose from. Great atmosphere, and I absolutely guarantee you'll love it. It's small, but that makes it cosy. Brilliant service, but not over the top or pushy. You will not be hounded from your table. Lots of wines to choose from. Not sure what your price-mark is but since it's your 50th, you can splash out a bit. 4 of us went, each of us had starter, main, and desert, plus 3 bottles of wine between us. It came to the equivalent of £40 each. (actually we had 5 starters between the 4 of us). I reccommend the pigs cheeks for main, and the terrine with ?walnuts for the starter. See link for booking.

I was just in Paris for my honeymoon. Although I don't have any specific names for you....I'd walk a little bit. Go a block or two away from the Champs Elysee and you'll save money. Fodder's books are an invaluable resource....they cover just about all the basics, and can be purchased on line or at Barnes&Noble etc. Have fun.....Paris was my favorite!
