  • Answer:

1 They don't call it Bastille Day. They call it 14 July (le quattorze juillet) 2 With community events - including farm and agricultural shows, celebration of local produce, pageants, swimming galas, community yard sales, marching bands, cycle races, music evenings. And always a late fireworks display in some nearby town.

There is a huge military parade, there is fireworks in many towns, and usually a big concert in Paris. Ps: Bastille day is NOT an "independance day": France is a very old country and not a former colony like the US, so pleasethink a little...

They storm it.

Big and long military parade in Paris that goes to Champs Elysées with the military planes of Patrouille de France. Many, many people there and our wonderful *cough* President Sarkozy and people from the gouvernement will be there. There will also be fireworks and concerts.

It's pretty much like the fourth of July for the US, so enjoy.
