Will top universities accept me to their Graduate Program?

Do American/European universities accept International students with 3 year's bachelors for Graduate admissions?

  • I'm currently pursuing an Honors Physics course in India. It's a three year program after which I'll earn a BS degree. This makes a total of 15 years (12+3) of education. From what I know, 16 years is the requisite minimum for International students. Please list any universities that you are sure of.

  • Answer:

I just completed my BA in Mumbai, 12+3 degree same as yours. I've been accepted into Yale for Grad school. I also received acceptances from UK universities like LSE and Oxford. So yeah a 3 year degree isn't really a hampering factor for graduate admissions. But then again I think it does depend on the University you're applying to and the course as well. However, I'm sure that European universities don't have any issue with the 15 year thing. Hope that helps!

Not sure about India specifically, but I know European students with a 3yr bachelor who started their PhD here at Stanford immediately afterwards.

Done a bit of research on that myself..I have found that CMU accepts 3 year degree provided you complete four years of study..For that you either join some community college there..OR do Msc and then go for MS..
