Where are good rock clubs in Paris?

Where is the music scene in Paris?

• I am in my 40's and looking for jazz clubs, maybe rock clubs but not an area that is strictly "twenty-somethings". Any suggestions? I will be in Paris in March.

La mécanique ondulatoire in the 11th (don't know what they're like now though...) Also in the 11th, Planète Mars => They're really (rockly) mad :) http://www.myspace.com/planetemars For the magazine, Pariscope, or the other one you can buy weekly in Paris "L'officiel", they are not printed in English... but there's a tiny section in Pariscope called "Time out Paris, Pick of the Week" (somethink like that) where you could find your treasure :) And you can buy it at any news kiosk in the street (you can't miss them, they're green, and just in front of you when you get out of the subway. "Bonjour, un Pariscope, s'il vous plaît." :) :)
