Guinea pigs?? this is for people who actuallyyy have guinea pigs ?

I used to have a guinea pig and he was very squirmy. I couldn't cuddle him and he was always trying to get away from me. He never tried to bite me or scratch me, but I always felt he didn't like me. My friend came to visit me and brought her young daughter. Her daughter loved my guinea pig, so I let her keep it. I was actually relieved that the guinea pig was gone. I would never get another. I know people who have had guinea pigs for years and loved it. A guinea pig was just the wrong pet for me. I'm so glad he has a better home now.

generally yes they are very friendly, passive creatures. normally when you first get them they are very shy and scared and they will always remain quite jittery as they are naturally prey animals, but with a lot of cuddles and food treats they will soon warm up to you. they are normally quite quiet, and they tend not to do much, they're not that active, though they must have plenty of space and things to keep them occupied. but they are generally nice and cuddly. :)
