Well also if its a baby and if the cage is too big then he won't be able to find his food. But i had a problem like that recently and it turned out his calcium sacks were extreamly small. So i added some extra calcium powder and he was jumping around like crazy a usual. But also another thing is if your getting a new lizard breed for the first time you should just get it grown so you can get to know the breed before raising it. But it sounds like you need to take take it to a reptile vet ASAP.
