Totally agreed. showdown is a game of moreover luck. Hold’em Showdown is a game based on predicting the result of a showdown between two Texas Hold’em Poker hands. The object of the game is to correctly select the winner of the poker hand showdown between the Dealer and the Opponent given the Dealer's hand and a selection of four possible Opponents’ hands.

I agree with TheMadProfessor to some extent. "Showdown" is 100% luck. Some folks play this in their home games. Everyone antes up, then every gets 5 cards dealt face up. Whoever has the best poker hand wins the pot. 0% skill. 100% luck. The only thing is you won't see this game for real in any real casino. No matter what casino game anyone says, there will be tons of folks that will strongly disagree with that choice. I strongly feel that the more cards you can see, the more skill is involved. That's why games like Hold 'em and Omaha are what I would consider "higher skill" games. That's also why I'll pick 5-card draw as a game that relies more on luck than other games. Again, I know that 5-card draw experts will most likely disagree. The skill in that game lies most in being able to read your opponents. ***EDIT*** A couple people now have mentioned Carribean Stud Poker. Just because something has the word "poker" in its name doesn't mean it's poker. Carribean Stud is a CASINO game. It's not poker, no matter what it's called.

I agree, Showdown and Caribbean Stud probably require the least amount of skill. They're fun every once in a while, but for me the more skill oriented games are infinitely more rewarding. If you're worried about keeping up with skilled players, don't be! You can shop online to find poker books & DVDs with tips from the pros — whether you're looking for general info or tips for specific types of games: like hold'em and online play. I buy all of mine at the same site where I order poker table supplies - http://www.pokershop.com My favorite of the poker books so far is definitely Bobby Baldwin's Winning Poker Secrets, since it combines useful poker advice with the life story of one of the game's most fascinating players.

I remember playing this back when i was a kid.. too bad they don't have this in casinos or online poker rooms.. guess it isn't that profitable for them if its 100% luck..

Carribean Stud, because you play against the house and not other players so there is basically no profit margin. It's hard to say though as there are so many variety's out there. Basically in any game of poker, skill will make a difference. The skill in poker is to make the correct choice when you need to make a choice, so basically, games with fewer betting rounds would have the least skill because there's fewer points to make decisions. In that case 5-Card Draw and 2-7 Single Draw would rely the least on skill, however, that doesn't mean that without skill you can be a winner on the long term. I have a friend who very succesfully grinds the 2-7 Single Draw games, really consistently without major downswings, so you can't really say that there's no skill or not a of skill in there.
