How do you get paid for selling through Amazon.ca?

How to get paid selling on Amazon?

  • I was wondering how you get paid. From what I can see, they pay you up front, then charge you when your items sold. Is this correct?

  • Answer:

After an initial 14 day hold period they send your payments to your checking account. You don't pay anything up front. You open your account and begin listing your items. Every time one sells you get a notification via email plus a notification on your seller's account information page. Their fees are deducted from your selling price. Added to your selling price is a standard shipping charge which you also get. So fees are deducted from your selling price once the item is ordered plus a money for shipping the item is automatically added. Once they charge the person who ordered your item ( a few minutes to a few hours), it appears on your seller accounts page payments section. I opened an Amazon account 6 days ago thinking, oh well, it won't hurt to try this, what have I got to lose? I didn't expect anything great. But I have already sold 11 of my items.
