How much money does eBay take off you when you sell something?

What happens if you sell something on eBay, then empty your bank account so PayPal can't take the money out?

  • Answer:

You mean you committed fraud by selling something on Ebay and didn't have it? And now the buyer is requesting a refund? Paypal can still take the money, and you get hit with overdraft fees. If you closed the account, they can sue you or put you in collections (ding on your credit report).

if you're talking about selling something on ebay, and then not sending said item to the buyer...what will happen is that even though you have removed the money to your bank account, your paypal account will go negative. you still owe that money and expect paypal to come after you for it (just like any other bill collector would). do yourself a favor and don't do it. i have a friend that tried this stupid stunt 3 years ago with an xbox360, and he found this out the hard way.
