You have to use a scanner then an OCR to retrieve it back to your computer. But based on what you asked, it looks like either the report isn't that long (a page or two) or if it's a long report, you could have saved it (or if you're using Word, it is autosaved) and deleted it. If I were you, I'll rather retype it if the report isn't too long. But if the second situation is the case, then you can download a file recovery program (google it) and attempt to retrieve your deleted report.
