Why won't my laptop shutdown?

'Waiting for background programs to close.' Why does this error shows always when I shutdown my laptop?

There is no problem with your laptop. The programs that take longer to close are performing background tasks or have so many processes running that is takes a long time for them to close. I would suggest not using force shutdown as this can cause minor problems.
