Which products are tested on animals?

Do products that say "Final product not tested on animals" test on animals?

  • Im wondering if the bottles that specify that the FINAL product was NOT tested on animals on the back of the label, but was there product before it became final tested on animals?

  • Answer:

It means some or all of the ingredients may have been tested on animals.

Yeah, I think it was tested on animals. That probably means that the ingredients were tested on animals separately, not the actual 'recipe' of the final product. Like they will test their glycerin or fragrances on animals, but once everythings mixed they don't test?

believe me.. that product was tested on animals.... it's just the wording.. all final products are eventually phasing out the animal but during the process animals were tested upon. that's nothing new.. it's just another way to scam the consumer.

They word it this way to cover them selfs legally. Almost everything was tested on animals at one time or another.

Yes, they do. It justs means that the final lotion or spray doesn't get used on animals. The products used to make do get tested on animals.. That's why I quit shopping at Bath and Body Works.

Possibly. They may have tested some or all of the ingredients. Or they may have contracted someone to test the ingredients. Or they may use an ingredient that someone else tested and found safe but didn't actually arrange for its testing.
