Which brand of camcorder should I buy?

My budget is 500 US dollar. I want to buy a Camcorder Mini DV. Need your suggestion for brand and others.?

  panasonic 3ccd cameras like pv-gs300 it takes video in broadcast quality and take still pics at 3meg simultaneously, you can get it brand new on ebay from 399,stay away from dvd camcorders, they suck because everytime you record you have to authorize it and finalize the disc and 9 times out of ten the little disc will not play in you dvd player. minidv is the thing, you can connect the camera through firewire cable, usb, or standard rca. dont buy from circuit city or best buy you will pay 2-3 humdred more, there are good established companies on ebay where you still get the original panasonic warranty.
