I'm starting a Tv and Video Production class next. What kind of camera should I buy?

Well, technically we don't need to buy a camera, but since I'm taking the class I'm very interested in making videos. Anyone have any suggestions on what camera to buy?

You really can't go wrong with the JVC Everio. Inexpensive, easy to use, and it has the best recorded picture I've seen on a camcorder.
