I have a JVC digital video recorder it starts up properly takes the tape. but i cant seem to see no video or hear no sound, i tried plugging it into the TV but it doesn't even ...show more

Answer:
if the tape moves then the problem is probably a head clog. on a digital recorder, the same head plays both audio and video data, so you lose both with a clog. try a cleaning tape.
