How can i transfer the records from a miniDv tape to my computer?

    Consider using a video transfer service. StashSpace.Com is good and really easy to use. You just send them your tapes and they transfer them to digital for you. Costs $6.95 per tape Or you can use a firewire cable and thier software to do it yourself. You plug the firewire cable into the dv out of your camcorder and into the firewire port of your computer. Then put the camera in VCR mode and click play. Hit record on the software and your video will be transferred to a digital file in real-time as it plays back on your camcorder. Good Luck!
