Is it possible to use camcorder 8 mm cassette in Video cassette player and if so how?

i believe they make (or used to make, back when video tapes were the big thing) an adapter video tape you could use. it opened up and you could stick the 8mm tape inside. then you could watch the contents on your VCR. check ebay maybe? matt http://www.thefrenzyband.com
