  • Answer:

CompTIA Certifications never hurt anyone, but experience, as always, is a primary factor. They will look and see, is it cost effective to hire someone with a masters and pay them the extra money? or can be get the job done cheaper? You would have to prove to them that you can do what they need you to do. Experience helps them give you a chance. I would have to say, I would personally call them, and begin questioning them on what they need exactly. If I didn't think I would fit the position, I'd just give up on it. I don't want to be doing a job that doesn't fit me. If they have a job that I'm excited about doing, and they think I'm a pain, because I phoned them, I'd let them know its because I like to get things done, and I do what ever it takes to make sure it does get done. No way would I want to fight to get a job as "HEAD OF THE HELPDESK/PASSWORD RESET CENTER!"
