Install the driver.Search in google 'sound driver window 7'.Then i think it will bring u at microsoft web page. And then follow the instruction.

When you have a hardware device that does not work, such as a sound device, it is likely the result of a driver that is not working properly. A driver that is not working properly is generally caused by the driver being out of date. Fortunately, the Windows 7 operating system includes a tool that allows you to update any driver automatically. You must be connected to the Internet for this tool to work properly. 1. Click "Start," then "Control Panel," then "System and Security" and then "Device Manager." 2. Double-click the driver you want to repair. The Properties window opens. 3. Click the "Driver" tab. 4. Click "Update Driver" and follow the prompts. Windows 7 will automatically locate and install the driver update. You may be asked for your administrator password. 5. Restart your computer when the driver has been updated. If that does not work, go to this link and se if this helps. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/no-sound-help#no-sound=windows-xp&v1h=win8tab1&v2h=win7tab1&v3h=winvistatab1&v4h=winxptab2

I never understand the logic of IT men , they spend 18-20 year in studies and related courses and give only 2 solution , number 1 is restart the Pc , if problem not fix (2) then re-install the window :P . anyway , the beauty of win 7 and latter series is it automatically install almost all kind of driver , So no need for universal or other driver Cd,s . If lower right side of bar , the sound icon is red , just troubleshoot it , if it seen OK , then you use multiple audios or videos (may be any one corrupt ) and also use a another external speaker or headphone , May be the problem is in your Speaker or in headphone , So its best to check hardware . Further if you can , then open the computer and checks the cable is right ? all these are troubleshooting , If condition is same , its better to check any near computer shop (if u have original window , otherwise you can do it your self )
