  i recommend ebay or craigslist, but be sure to ask specific questions. ebay is a good site to purchase the phone as you can look at pictures and read the seller's feedback, i recommend getting it there. questions to ask: - ask if the ESN number is cleared and verify it yourself. ask the seller to give you the ESN number and call the service provider to make sure it's cleared. if it's not, you will not be able to use the phone for yourself. the seller should not be hesitant in releasing this number to you and if she/he is then find another seller. - ask for photos of the phone and make sure there are so cracks on the screen or whatever you would want not to be on the phone - ask the seller if there are any issues with the phone (trackball, screen, etc) anyways, ask questions and read feedbacks if possible. good luck!
