If I save some electricity at my home, will that get utilized somewhere else or does that get wasted ? E.g. I switched off a lamp in my home, and somewhere in another part of my city, there is power outage. Will the electricity saved by me get redirected there?
-
More generally, how does electricity distribution works.
-
Answer:
No. By turning off the lamp you have reduced your consumption ,lowering your bill. With regards to a blackout in a particular sector there are many other possible reasons such as cable fault,overloading... An adaptive, flexible and a well monitored distribution not only results in continuous service but also a reduction in wastage.
