If I buy an ipod, do i have to buy the music from itunes or can i download songs from somewhere else?

no but u need to start a itunes account i think but for my ipod touch i use frostwire its all free and u dont put no personal info name nothing just download it and then u wana move the files to ur itunes folder takes a while to figer out but after a while of messin around ur get a hang of it

No, you do not have to by them from iTunes. Though the songs on iTunes are good quality and guaranteed virus free, there are other places to get music. May I discourage programs like Limewire and Frostwire, as these spread viruses and aren't a good idea. A good way to get free music is by recording them off music videos on youtube. To do this, all you need to do is download a music recorder (see download.com for one, everything on there is virus-free.) Another thing you can do is upload your own music off CDs onto iTunes then onto your iPod. Easy peasey.
