VCR won't play tape.

I have a tv with vcr-when i put tape in the word ejects shows up and it does not play-what can i do?

i bought a sears 13 inch tv with videocassette recorder acouple of yrs.ago-recently when i put a tape in to play it will sometime play and then when i eject the tape itself comes out ...show more

REPAIRING IT WOULDN'T BE COST EFFECTIVE. A COMBO TV/VCR/DVD PLAYER IS A GREAT SPACE SAVER, NOT TO MENTION EASY TO SET-UP. YOU OBVIOUSLY KNOW THE SHORT COMINGS ON BUYING AN ALL IN ONE UNIT, IF ONE PART BREAKS... TREAT YOURSELF TO A NEW TV!

sounds like either you have a dirty mode switch giving false info to the microprocessor and causing it to eject or it has a mechanical problem and is jamming and then ejecting by default
